Shandong Province Key Steel Structure R&D Program Annual Progress Seminar Successfully Held
The annual progress seminar for the Shandong Provincial Key R&D Program (a major scientific and technological innovation project), "Digital Construction and Operation and Maintenance Technology and Application Demonstration for Large-Scale Steel Structures," was successfully held at Shandong University recently. Launched in November 2024, this Shandong Provincial Key R&D Program project is led by Classic Group and includes participation from Shandong Jianzhu University, Shandong Jiaotong University, and Shandong University.
At the seminar, project technical leader and Professor Zhou Xuejun of Shandong Jianzhu University, Zhang Qi, Deputy General Manager and Production Director of Classic Group, Wang Peijun, Professor of Shandong University, Liu Zhe, Researcher of Shandong Jianzhu University, and Wang Zhen, Associate Professor of Shandong Jiaotong University, gave detailed reports on the project's progress. Each project unit successfully completed the objectives of this phase according to the project plan. The meeting focused on issues encountered during project implementation, proposed targeted solutions, and made comprehensive arrangements for the next phase of R&D.
The Shandong Province Key R&D Program (Major Scientific and Technological Innovation Project) "Digital Construction and Operation and Maintenance Technology and Application Demonstration of Large-Scale Steel Structures" project closely revolves around the extensive demand for large-scale steel structure products in the intelligent construction and operation of large-scale infrastructure. With the "manufacturing-construction-operation and maintenance" life cycle as the main line, it focuses on the digitalization, intelligence and green applications of the entire industrial chain. It studies and establishes a technical system that deeply integrates the entire industrial chain, including scientific and technological research and development, digital production, construction and assembly, health monitoring and corrosion maintenance, to form a new construction model for the production, construction and maintenance of large-scale steel structures that can be replicated and promoted. It will definitely have a positive impact on the digital transformation and high-quality development of China's construction steel structure industry.
